2022 ALFA ROMEO STELVIO STYLING & INTERIOR FEATURES

Like the Giulia sedan, Stelvio offers a stylish interior and a comfortable drive. Sportier models can have carbon-fiber trim, but those looking for a higher look can opt for wood inlay. Besides the beautiful driving area, the leather upholstery closes its front supporting seats, and the well-designed aluminum accents adorn the dash, doors, and center console. Stelvio has some useful storage tricks in its Italian sleeve, but with a small luggage compartment behind the back seat, it is not the most powerful crossover in the middle of this set. While some Alfa cubbies hold only moderate values, we enjoyed a valuable smartphone slot between cup holders and a tray near the driver’s left knee. The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio center console also has a nifty removable tray at the bottom.

2022 ALFA ROMEO STELVIO SPECS

Stelvio’s turbocharged four-cylinder sends 280 horses with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The rear-wheel drive is standard on the base model, but all-wheel drive is optional and standard throughout the system. Although the engine was very fast in our test and sounded good, the only Stelvio setup — with the exception of the highly efficient Quadrifoglio — eliminates consumer preferences and pulls limits of up to 3,000 pounds. During daily driving, we like its responsive throttle and smooth delivery. Its note of raspy exhaust sounds enthusiastic and perfect for this app.
